Premier Attends Dialog With Maybank, Fund Managers

KUCHING, Thurs: The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg this afternoon attended a dialog with a delegation from Maybank Investment Bank and fund managers at leading hotel, here. 

The Premier fielded various questions on the economy at the half-hour session moderated by Anand Pathmakanthan, Regional Head of Research at Maybank Investment Banking Group. 

The questions among others touched on education and talent development, PCDS 2030, the banking sector in Sarawak and its function to develop the SMEs, the Sarawak Sovereign Wealth Future Fund and strategies and investment prospects, in the renewable energy sector in particular. 

Among those present were Sarawak Financial Secretary, Dato Sri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar, Director of EPU, Datu Lester Mathew, Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamed, Officer-In-Charge & Chief Operating Officer of Maybank Investment Bank and Abang Jamili Abang Julai, Regional Director for the Sarawak Region.
